Please sit at the bar because the bar is where everyone should sit while dining at Hopdoddy Burger Bar. Sitting at the bar means getting instant service without having to wait in line. Everyone should like this plan. Hopdoddy can’t help that they have a long line that is sometimes forced to end outside. People like the burgers they are slinging so much it hurts. Trust me: The trick is to sit at the bar.
Brave customers loving long lines will wait in line, order, and then sit at a table with a number. Please do not sit/save a table before standing in this long line. There are signs all over the place letting people know this is not OK with anyone working at Hopdoddy. Franklin Barbecue doesn’t like this kind of seating behavior either. There’s no saving seats until after ordering. It’s the right thing to do.
Almost Veggie people are often depressed each time we try to order fries or tots. Most restaurants fry meat where they fry fries and tots, which hurts my feelings every time. Non-carnivores love fries and tots just as much as meat people, so it’s exciting to know Hopdoddy cares. They have also created a veggie burger worthy of sunshine, prizes, and a curtsy. Pick any burger and substitute veggie. The bartender really thought it would be a great idea to add a fried egg, so I listened to her and ordered a fried egg on top.
Even better than the veggie burger was having beyond basic service. The bartender could not have done anything else to make my experience better. She went out of her way to talk truffle, as well as all kinds of sauces she wanted to bring me– on the side. Since truffle fries make my skin crawl, she suggested a side of something truffle for dipping just the right amount. I didn’t complain on the inside or out. Everyone in Dallas should eat the veggie burger and fries at Hopdoddy Burger Bar.
