Holy cow. Who knew Eataly was a grocery store and restaurant? What is up with that? This is crazy tourist talk because every single New York City local knew this secret a long time ago. Mom and I met a real live New Yorker for dinner who found a spot serving none other than a seafood tasting menu. It does not get any better than this, minus eating at Eleven Madison Park without a reservation. That’s flat out day dreamy.
Eataly is the bomb. If we lived in New York we could work two jobs to afford groceries from this gigantic building of grocery glory. Poor people working only one job, while not living the New York City dream, probably never get their groceries from Eataly, which is super sad and depressing. Imagine shopping at a basic grocery store while living in the city that never sleeps. Let’s change the subject faster than the speed of light.
After finally getting over the fact that we were walking around a grocery store with restaurants, we began our $75 per person tasting. The “Dock to Dish” tasting menu was at Manzo, which is one of the many restaurants located inside Eataly. The fish on the tasting menu are always caught and delivered the very same day. Eataly wrote this on their facebook page, so I believe them.
This trip has been a massive food win in every way. Eleven Madison Park— check. Eataly— check. Cosme— check check. People are probably wondering when this happiness is ever going to end. Next up is a review of Cosme, which is going to be a no-brainer. My friend is chef de cuisine and she is out of this word talented, as well as supermodel gorgeous. Everyone online will come together as one, if only for a moment, and love her.
