Kozy Kitchen

Healthy people must love– love– love— Kozy Kitchen. The manager came over and told me so much healthy information it was hard to keep up. All I know is this restaurant is on a mission to help people in Dallas eat nutritious meals every day. The beef is grass-fed and they even serve buffalo. Yikes. They also have entrees and desserts that are gluten-free. Kozy even has wild-caught seafood and organic, locally grown produce. I bet Kozy Kitchen recycles, too.

There’s some kind of sassy spa type of beauty parlor close by, which settles for nothing less than valet. Please do not worry–Kozy does not have forced valet. They even have signs showing customers where to park. Just so you know, the valet guys next door aren’t all that busy because one guy started fist-banging my window when he thought I was either having a seizure or passed out. Even though I was just looking down at my iPhone for a couple of minutes and, you know, not dying– I do appreciate a random valet guy trying to save my life.

There were only two other people having breakfast. The girl at the next table painfully talked about her boyfriend cheating for almost 46 minutes. I almost told her about my ex-boyfriend with a double life who cheated on me with a terrycloth-wearing Hooters girl in Galveston. She needs to know a champion non-cheater is out there waiting for her. Sniffle. Her guy friend was a listening trooper even though she was depressing him on his birthday.

The inside is a dark, dreary kind of room with a tiny counter for ordering. People also have an option to sit down and be completely waited on or take care of business at the register. Even though I wear black all the time, the inside of Kozy Kitchen feels depressing. No wonder the sad girl came to talk about her sad life during breakfast at Kozy Kitchen. On the up and up, I saw at least four body builders grab and go with a wink and a smile.

I ordered the Veggie Connection with tons of— veggies. The manager brought over a cake to taste because he was that excited about the cake at Kozy Kitchen, which is gluten-free and healthy. Go figure. Kozy Kitchen is the place to go for those interested in taking care of the only body they’ve got. Please go to Kozy Kitchen and eat a properly nutritious meal. It’s the right thing to do.
