The menu posted outside Mountain Standard listed shrimp & grits and deviled eggs. This was the best sight to see as we walked through Vail Village looking for fun. There were many hurdles to hurdle before sealing the dining deal at Mountain Standard yesterday. Blue Moose Pizza makes kids go bonkers from excitement when they visit Vail. There isn't a blue moose running around the restaurant or anything, but people are allowed to draw pictures on the tables with crayons. Vail Chophouse sounds expensive. This restaurant’s title has the power to frighten commoners without even trying. We decided to read the menu inside the glass case out front for the fun of it. This is when a service industry worker delivered two bowls of chowder with lobster on top to a patio table nearby. Invading other people’s privacy with a secret walk-by lobster picture did not matter....
