Austin – Andrew Wiseheart , Ben Edgerton, and the team at Gardner team are excited to officially announce the launch of Gardner’s one-of-a-kind new cocktail program. Since opening last fall, Gardner has focused on emphasizing quality ingredients, simply and straightforwardly prepared. The team’s new cocktail program maintains a strong focus on raw culinary ingredients and utilizing kitchen techniques with drinks that have been carefully crafted to pair with their food in the same way that wine and beer does. Without utilizing any “secondary spirits” the cocktails bring Gardner’s  flavor profiles into the realm of cocktails.

Four consciously concocted sips, listed below, will be offered nightly for $10 apiece. In addition to these, Gardner will be offering several base spirits: Tito’s Vodka, Junipero Gin, Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon, Atlantico Rum, and Siembra Azul Reposado Tequila, with a selection of mixers (sodas, juices, etc.) to make highballs “to-order”. They also offer Balvenie 12-year Double Wood Scotch, Laphroaig 1Ž4 Cask Scotch, Blanton’s Bourbon, George T. Stagg Bourbon, Whistlepig Rye, Fortaleza Anejo Tequila, Old Raj Dry Gin (Red), Green Chartreuse and Fernet Digestif. Here are the cocktails (with an added off-menu bonus cocktail to keep your readers I:

  • VODKA: Ginger, Elderflower, Coriander, Whey

Inspired by the ingredients in the cream sauce of the gnocchi featured on a recent menu, this beverage is an expansion on the basic nature of a Moscow Mule.

  • GIN: Celery Root, Beet, Blood Orange, Pink Peppercorn

With elements including house celery bitters, blood orange marinated overnight in sugar and zest, and apple cider vinegar steeped in pink peppercorn, this is far from a simple cocktail.

  • BOURBON: Maple, Marshmallow Root, Brown Butter, Pecan, Urfa

This bourbon drink contains unctuous, rich, sweet, spicy, and nutty tasting notes and is served in a rocks glass.

  • Off-Menu GIN

This bold, complex, bittersweet drink has an amaro-like quality.
